Big A's Dance Recital

Big A had her third dance recital a few weeks ago. She loves to dance but her favorite part is receiving a trophy. That is all she talks about before and after the recital. I think dance has helped her to not be so timid in front of crowds and has helped build up her self-esteem a bit. I am not sure that this will be something that she will continue to like to do as she grows older but she is really enjoying it now.

Striking a quick pose before we leave.
Isn't she a cute one!

She is to the far right and Lane is beside her in the middle.

Gettin' ready to shake it!!

Cheer position... I guess

Two very sweet and dear friends.

First Haircut

Baby Girl getting tickled!

Crazy Kerrie spraying water into her mouth.

I know it has been a while since I have posted. I hope to be able to post more now that school is out. I thought I would start today and try to post once a day until I get caught up:)) The girls and I went today to get haircuts. This was Lil A's first haircut. I have to admit that I was a little worried because of her age. I didn't get Big A's first haircut until after she turned 2 because she didn't have much hair for the first two years of her life. I was surprised how well she did. Our hairdresser Kerrie (we call her Crazy Kerrie) was wonderful with her. She had Lil A laughing so much that I don't think she even knew she was getting a haircut. I was so proud of her. Hopefully we will continue to have great experiences at the salon. Sorry the pictures are a bit blurry...they were taken with my phone.

Happy Mother's Day

My cute and very comfy flipflops!

Addie and me at the Mother's Day Tea at school

Gifts from Addie
Walking down the runway at the church fashion show. Lil A cried all the way down with her passy in her mouth. No NAP!!!!
My wonderful Mother's Day started last Thursday. Addie's class had a Mother's Day Tea. It was so sweet. We were escorted in by our child and then taken to our seat. We had sweet tea and cookies to eat while we watched a sweet slide show of pictures that had been taken throughout the year. We were also given a keychain with our child's pictures, a ceramic watering can that Big A painted and planted a plant in, and a memory book. I was in amazement at all of the hard work that Mrs. Tracey had put into this. She is truly a wonderful teacher. We love her. Saturday we had a Mother's Day tea at church that was followed by a fashion show. Thanks to my sweet mother in-law that helped me make the outfits. On Mother's Day I was given something that is my absolute favorite, shoes. B and the girls gave me my favorite brand of flipflops, Yellow Box. If you do not have a pair you should purchase some. They are very comfortable and they also have many cute styles and colors. All who know me well know that I am a purse and shoe freek. I do not like shopping for clothes but I love shopping for shoes and purses. It never fails, when I go shopping I always end up looking at purses and shoes. I was also given many handmade cards and some sweet ones that were purchased:) I got to take a nap and then we had dinner at B's grandmother's house. It was a wonderful relaxing day. Thank you lord for the two girls that you have blessed me with.

Little Climber

Tonight when I was cooking dinner I turned around and saw this cute little face. At first I thought how is she looking over that counter. It caught me off guard. Then when I walked around the corner of the island I saw that little miss thing had pushed the step stool over so she could climb up. I couldn't help but get tickled. She is a cutie:)),

First "Official" Sleepover

Big A has been wanting to have a sleepover for about a month or so and since it was Spring Break I thought this would be the perfect time. She wanted her guests to be her cousin Kayden and her dear friend Lane. The girls had lots of fun. I did not know how much noise three girls could actually make. All of that giggling and squealing:)) I know we were the same way when we were their age. Our poor mothers. Love you mom!! Below you will see some of the fun they had. They rode the four-wheeler also but I didn't snap a picture of that. (Sorry the photos are a little out of order)
They were putting on a talent show!
Dancing to All the Single Ladies!!

Caught a ride on Mr. B's back.

Ready to watch a movie and get some Z's!!

We played restaurant and I was the waitress. They got a kick out of it.

Never to cold to have a little fun!

Our sweet Lil A loves outside more than anything. Well not more than food:) So during the month of February B would take her out each night after dinner, bundle her up and pull her in the wagon. She would ride in the wagon all night if we would pull her. I already know what my plans are for the summer:))

This was the first night they started their nightly fun! B used his coat to keep her warm:)
You can tell she is cold but wouldn't get out for anything!

A "Little Girl" Fun

A sweet little girl in my class invited Addie and Lane to Hueys's in Memphis to see a possible future pop star (Brittany Russell) perform. So Laura and I headed to Memphis with the girls Sunday afternoon for a little shopping and then on to dinner and a show. We had a lot of fun. I was amazed at how powerful the young girl's voice was. She was rockin the show so much that I wanted to get up and dance. However, the three girls were very reserved. They would stand and clap a little but no dancing. Lane was very into taking pictures with her camera. It was so funny. My only wish is that they are this reserved with their actions when they are teenagers. Wishful thinking?
